Purple dye is very sensitive to temperature and pH:

• Slightly high temperature → color turns red
• Slightly low temperature → color turns blue

Last year, an American women's brand requested lavender purple terry fabric matching their Pantone card. It took three sample attempts before approval. The bulk order was successful, and the client now orders 2–3 tons each season.
